Views From Sneyd Hill
Stoke-on-Trent is blessed with a number of high spots offering good views over the city and its surroundings. A number of these hills were once the spoil heaps or slag heaps from the coal mines which once provided employment for people in Stoke-on-Trent and wealth for their owners.
The City council has made use of these derelict areas by reclaiming them as recreation parks and green space with extensive tree planting and landscaping to create a much more pleasant environment for the people of North Staffs.
There are 4 panorama images of photos taken from the top of Sneyd Hill. The first one is looking south from Hartshill on the right to Hanley on the left. The Britannia Stadium, home of Stoke City Football Club, can be clearly seen in the center.
